MINNEAPOLIS FROZEN 5K
The Frozen 5K is an officially timed 5K race around Lake Nokomis to kick off a day of Polar Plunging! All participants receive a medal and a long-sleeved tech t-shirt.
If you would like to dash and splash, you must register for both the Frozen 5K ($40 race fee) and the Minneapolis Plunge ($75 fundraising minimum). If you are planning on participating in both the 5K and Plunge, you must raise at least $115 total.
RACE FEE $40
Once you are registered for the Minneapolis Frozen 5K, you can pay your fee in the form of a self-donation onto your account. If you’re interested in earning more incentives, you can fundraise beyond the $40 race fee and receive some of these great items (the Polar Plunge shirt will be replaced by a Frozen 5K shirt).
parking + shuttles
Note: Lake Nokomis Parkway will be closed entirely around the lake from 7:45 AM-9 AM on Saturday, March 4, for the Frozen 5K. Please plan accordingly.Take advantage of our Minneapolis Frozen 5K shuttle! Shuttles are FREE and will run around Lake Nokomis from 7-7:45 AM. There will be one shuttle from the Mall of America for Frozen 5K participants at 7 AM.
Ride share zone
There is a designated ride share zone for those who wish to utilize Lyft, Uber or other ride sharing apps. It will be located in the "boat launch area" just south of Lake Nokomis Park. The space cannot accommodate waiting cars, so please set accurate pick-up times and be ready to go when your ride arrives.
